WORD POWER #2
I try to ingest God's Word daily.I do it in many different ways. It's ingested when
I read the scriptures in the Bible, listen
to my favorite Christian music and songs, and when I pray. This daily goal helps me to stay on the path of righteousness.
The Word of God is given to us in different context in the Old and New Testaments. Some of His Words were meant to bring comfort. There are also times when His Words were spoken to correct our behavior.
This week I'll share scriptures about God's Word that were used to comfort and guide you.
There will also be Words from
God that cut like a two edged
sword when His people chose
to reject it.
LIFE LESSON:
LIVE
BY GOD'S WORD
NUMBERS 24:16
The utterance of him
who hears the
words of God, And has the knowledge
of the Most High, Who sees the
vision
of the Almighty, Who falls down, with
eyes wide open.
DEUTERONOMY 9:5
It is not because
of your righteousness
or the uprightness of your heart that
you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of
these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that
He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to
your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
DEUTERONOMY 17:19
And it shall be with
him, and he shall
read it all the days of his life, that he
may
learn to fear the Lord his God and
be careful to observe all the
words of
this law and these statutes.
JOSHUA 3:9
So Joshua said to the
children of Israel, “Come here, and hear the words of the
Lord your God.”
JOSHUA 24:26
Then Joshua wrote
these words in the Book of the Law of God. And he took a
large stone, and set it up there under
the oak that was by the sanctuary of
the Lord.
