ANY HOLY PLACES? #4
Things
have changed so much. There
are few places
in the church that are considered Holy.
I
still respect the sanctuary and pulpit
at
my church. I like knowing that
I am
able to keep something sacred in
this wicked world. This week I am sharing some
scriptures from the Bible that
discuss Holy Places.
LIFE LESSON:
THE BLOOD IN HOLY PLACES
EXODUS 24:8,
And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words.”
12 You shall take some of the blood of
the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the altar.
16 And you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar.
And Aaron shall make atonement upon
its horns once a year with the blood of
the sin offering of atonement; once a
year he shall make atonement upon it throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.”
EXODUS 34:25
“You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven, nor shall the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover
be left until morning.
LEVITICUS 1:5
He shall kill the bull before the Lord;
and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall
bring the blood and sprinkle the
blood all around on the altar that
is by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
3 Thus Aaron shall come into the
Holy Place: with the blood of a young
bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as
a burnt offering.
27 The bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp. And they shall burn in the fire their skins, their flesh, and their offal.
HEBREW 9:12, 25
12 Not with the blood of goats and
calves, but with His own blood He
entered the Most Holy Place once
for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
25 not that He should offer Himself
often, as the high priest enters the
Most Holy Place every year with
blood of another—
22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin,
and strike the lintel and the two door
posts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door
of his house until morning.
23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.
7 Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be
killed.
8 And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
LUKE 22: 14-16, 19-20
14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him.
15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;
16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
