LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY

The heart of the matter is, I am alive today because of the grace of God. Man has invented machines to keep me alive. The truth is, my quality of life would be worthless if I depended on it. I am sharing scriptures this week that  show me how to have a heart with faith and love for God.  LIFE LESSON: HOW TO SERVE GOD WITH MY HEART JOSHUA  24:23 “Now therefore,” he said, “put away  the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God  of Israel.” 1 SAMUEL  2:1 And Hannah prayed and said:  “My heart rejoices in the Lord;  My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because  I rejoice in Your salvation. PROVERBS  3:5-6 5  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And  He shall direct your paths.

He does not want lukewarm faith. I am sharing scriptures this week from the Book of Deuteronomy. Most people have a favorite color. Purple is my favorite color. I love seeing purple flowers and blooms.  I purchased a Japanese Magnolia  tree because it had purple flowers.   I discovered from my Bible study,  that purple cloth was mentioned  several times in the scriptures.It  seemed that wearing items made from purple cloth meant you were important.  Jesus even had on a  purple robe temporarily during the time of His Crucifixion. I am sharing some of the scriptures I found that discuss the color purple. EXODUS 39:1      Of the blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the Lord had commanded Moses.   NUMBERS 4:13  And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon: JUDGES 8:26  And the weight of the golden earrings  that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred [shekels] of gold;

My dad was a business owner and he bought his money box home each night. I guess I can say my Grandma had  some sort of money box. She had a large sock pinned inside of her dress. Some of her money was kept in it. The dictionary's definition shows  that a money box can be a cash  box for the home, a strong box  for cash and valuables, and a cash register.  I found out during my Bible study  that the money box is discussed  in the New Testament.
