DON'T GIVE LIP SERVICE! #2

I try not to give lip service to
my family and friends.I try to
live up to my promises! Some
times I had circumstances that 
made it almost impossible to 
keep my word! This is why I 
confessed it to them. I did
not tell a lie or try to cover 
up the truth.

The Bible talks about service and
many people were assigned to do
tasks by God. I read during one 
my Bible study sessions several 
scriptures which show people 
who served God for years. They 
even passed their duties to the
next generation.  

 

LIFE LESSON:

THE TRIBE OF LEVI ARE PRIESTS ASSIGNED TO SERVICE OF TABERNACLE

Exodus 6:16

These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations:

Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were one hundred and thirty-seven.

 

Exodus 32:26, 28

Then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, “Whoever is on the Lord’s side—come to me!” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.

28 So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses...

Numbers 1:50

But you shall appoint the Levites over 

the tabernacle of the Testimony,over 

all its furnishings, and over all things

that belong to it; they shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings;they 

shall attend to it and camp around the tabernacle.

 

NUMBERS 4:3-4, 9

 

3 From thirty years old and above,

even to fifty years old, all who enter 

the service to do the work in the tabernacle of meeting.

4 “This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of meeting, relating to the most holy things:

9 And they shall take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand of the

light, with its lamps, its wick-trimmers, its trays, and all it's

oil vessels, with which they service it.

NUMBERS 4:23-24

23 From thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, you shall number them, all who enter to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of meeting.

24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and carrying.

NUMBERS 4:32-33

32 and the pillars around the court with their sockets, pegs, and cords, with all their furnishings and all their service; and you shall assign to each man by name the items he must carry.

33 This is the service of the families 

of the sons of Merari, as all their service 

for the tabernacle of meeting, under the authority of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.”
