ANY HOLY PLACES? # 3

Things have changed so much. There  
are few places in the church that are considered Holy. 
 
I still respect the sanctuary and pulpit
at my church. I like knowing that  I am
able to keep something sacred  in this wicked world.

This week I am sharing some 
scriptures from the Bible that 
discuss Holy Places.


LIFE LESSON:

 HOLY GARMENTS WORN IN HOLY PLACES


DEPICTION OF PRIEST IN HOLY GARMENTS


 EXODUS 28:4, 31

4 And these are the garments which 
they shall make: a breastplate, an 
ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, 
a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest.
31 You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue.






Exodus 35:19



The garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place—the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests.
 
Exodus 39:1, 41
 
1 Making the Garments of the Priesthood  Of the blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made  garments of ministry, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
 

41 and the garments of ministry, to minister in the holy place: the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and 
his sons’ garments, to minister as 
priests.



1 CHRONICLES 15:27-28  

27 David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the music master with the singers. David also wore a linen ephod. 

28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps.

 


EZEKIEL 44:18-19
 

18 They shall have linen turbans on their heads and linen trousers on their bodies; they shall not clothe themselves with anything that causes sweat.  
19 When they go out to the outer court, to the outer court to the people, they shall take off their garments in which they have ministered, leave them in the holy chambers, and put on other garments; and in their holy garments they shall not sanctify the people.

ADAM & EVE'S FAMILY TREE

DEPICTION OF ADAM & EVE WITH THEIR CHILDREN I say thank you to PBS for featuring TV shows  on researching your family tree by Heny Louis Gates, Jr.  The show was called, "Finding Your Roots". I enjoyed this show and and eventually became very good at family tree research. Genealogy was important during Bible days and the Bible book of Genesis gives us several family trees.
