It took me  a  while to realize you need to  be careful 
where you get  your advice from.  Motherly advice is
good sometimes. Advice  from a friend can be useful
too. Some people use a mentor or their pastor when 
they need serious counsel.

In later years, we  learned to use the Bible as  
our guidebook on parenting, marriage, money, 
and relationships.I prayed for the Lord to grant 
us His wisdom every day.The Bible was a perfect  reference and guide because the scriptures are inspired by God.

I found out about the Bible's rules for marriage  
when I joined the church.  I considered myself 
to be a college educated liberated woman I did  
no like the rules given for the wife.In later years,
I was able to understand and listen to the rules 
in the scriptures about rules for marriage.


Today I'll share scriptures in the Bible concerning 
the role of the wife. 











LIFE LESSON:


WIVES DO  NOT  CONSTANTLY ARGUE
& NAG ABOUT EVERYTHING. 
 

PROVERBS  21: 9, 19

9 Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop,
Than in a house shared with a contentious 
woman.

19 Better to dwell in the wilderness,
Than with a contentious and angry 
woman.

Proverbs 27:15

 A continual dripping on a very rainy day
And a contentious woman are alike;






LIFE LESSON: 

WIVES RESPECT YOUR HUSBANDS. DON'T
GOSSIP ABOUT YOUR HUSBAND TO YOUR
FRIEND OR RELATIVES.



EPHESIANS  5:22, 24, 33


22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.


33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.







LIFE LESSON:

 WIVES BE A GOOD MANAGER OF YOUR HOME.
 

Proverbs 14:1

The wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.







 
LIFE LESSON :

WIVES DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.

1 CORINTHIANS  6:18
 
Flee sexual immorality.  Every sin that a man
(includes  woman) does is outside the body,
but he who commits sexual immorality sins
against his own body.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions. The Bible also tells us that the Lord is "not a respecter of persons"and accepts all who will respect him. It can be His will to use a harlot (prostitute)
