PERFECT GUIDEBOOK, MARRIAGE, PART 2

It took me  a  while to realize you need to  be careful 
where you get  your advice from.  Motherly advice is
good sometimes. Advice  from a friend can be useful
too.Some people use a mentor or their pastor when 
they need serious counsel.

In later years, we learned to use the Bible as  our guidebook on parenting, marriage, money, and relationships.I prayed for the Lord to grant  us His wisdom every day.The Bible was a perfect  reference and guide because the scriptures are inspired by God.


I found out about the Bible's rules for marriage  when I  joined the church.  I considered myself
to be a college educated liberated woman. In
later years, I was able to hear and understand
scriptures about rules for marriage.






 

Today, I'll share scriptures about the role of the 
husband in the marriage.







 
LIFE LESSON:

A HUSBAND WHO LOVES HIS WIFE LOVES HIMSELF. 

LEAVE YOUR PARENTS SO THAT YOU & YOUR WIFE CAN BECOME ONE.


EPHESIANS  5:25, 28-31



25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 

28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.  

29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 
31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.


PROVERBS 18:22

 He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.









LIFE LESSON:

HUSBANDS DO NOT BE BITTER TO YOUR WIVES 
&  BE UNDERSTANDING. 





IF NO BITTERNESS, THEN NO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!


COLOSSIANS  3:19


Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.


1 PETER  3:7

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
 





 

LIFE LESSON:

HUSBANDS DO NOT DESIRE  OTHER WOMEN AND DO NOT  COMMIT ADULTERY.
 

1 CORINTHIANS  6:18

 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.



MATTHEW 5:28   

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her 
in his heart.


HEBREWS  13:4
 
Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God
will judge.

I enjoyed this show and and eventually became very good at family tree research. Genealogy was important during Bible days and the Bible book of Genesis gives us several family trees.
