LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 8/6/14

My Sunday school teacher always told our 
class that we should be good if we wanted 
to go to heaven.  I have heard my pastor 
preach the same thing. 

I believe that there is a heaven and a hell. 
I believe it because  the Bible says so. I 
stand on the scriptures:

JOHN 17:17   

 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.


2 TIMOTHY 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, 
for instruction in righteousness.



The rest of this week I'll share scriptures about  heaven.  The Bible gives several descriptions of heaven. This includes the atmosphere, the outer
space where the stars, moon, sun,galaxies, and planets are. There is mention of a paradise, and 
the third heaven also.  The scriptures that I am
sharing with you, should explain to what heaven
is, how it looks, and why we should want to go 
there.

Today I will share scriptures about the creation 
of heaven.

LIFE LESSON:

 THE CREATION OF FIRST HEAVEN: THE ATMOSPHERE AND OUTER SPACE.


 REVELATION 21: 1




And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the 
first heaven and the first earth were passed away; 
and there was no more sea.
GENESIS 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 

GENESIS 1:15-17

15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”;  and it was so.  
16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 
17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,


GENESIS 1:20  

Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living  creatures, and let birds fly 
above the earth across the face of the firmament 
of the heavens.” 
PSALM 19:1

 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
ISAIAH 55:9-10

  
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth
10  “For as the rain comes down, and the snow 
from heaven, And do not return there,but water
the earth

DEPICTION OF ADAM & EVE WITH THEIR CHILDREN I say thank you to PBS for featuring TV shows  on researching your family tree by Heny Louis Gates, Jr.  The show was called, "Finding Your Roots". I enjoyed this show and and eventually became very good at family tree research. Genealogy was important during Bible days and the Bible book of Genesis gives us several family trees.
