My family members came, gave thanks, ate, and
were happy.  Some left to do some Black Friday
shopping. The rest of them went home to sleep.  
I got up and did the dishes as my way of warding 
off sleep from my holiday feasting.  

The Bible discusses food in figurative and literal terms.
You have to  study to figure out when it mentions seed 
time and harvest time.  Most of us enjoyed a feast full
of delicious food to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

Today, I look at scriptures that mention people breaking bread together at feasts and other gatherings.





THE FEAST OF ESTHER, FRANS FRACKEN II, CIRCA 1630

ESTHER 2: 18

Then the king made a great feast, the Feast of Esthe
for all his officials and servants; and he proclaimed
a holiday in the provinces and gave gifts according to
the generosity of a king.

Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, 
Abed-Nego.

18 And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.”’”
19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions. GET READY 4 NEW YEAR!

I am spending my days cleaning  up Christmas debris.  All of the Holiday food has been eaten and the tree must come down. I am considering how to make the year 2015 better. I am pondering how to continue to improve my Christian walk with God.  I'll be sharing scriptures this week that discuss a new day. These are scriptures I can stand on in 2015. Psalm 65:11 You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance. Psalm 90:12     So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
