A SONG IN MY HEART, PART 5

DEPICTION OF PEOPLE SHOUTING FOR JOY DURING  BIBLE DAYS

My mom used to tell us kids, " No shouting
in the  house"  The Sunday school teacher
would tell use to use "our inside voice".

Sometimes people in the Bible  shouted
for Holy communication. Victory shouts
during the Holy wars and shouts when
showing reverence to the Lord were also
done.  Some of them also shouted when
they had joy in their lives. Here are some
scriptures showing examples of shouting
in various situations:

EXODUS  32:18

But he said:
It is not the noise of the shout of victory,
Nor the noise of the cry of defeat,
But the sound of singing I hear.”

LEVITICUS  9:24

And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and
the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

PSALM  5:11

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.

PSALM 32:11

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous;
And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

JOSHUA 6:5

It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound
of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with
a great shout;then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.”

JOSHUA 6:20

So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard
the sound of the trumpet,  and the people shouted
with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat.Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before  him, and they took the city.

JOB 38:7

When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
