WHAT DOES IT MEAN? #3

I recall being excited about Easter
when I was a young girl. I loved
the elaborate Easter egg hunts,
Easter baskets, and new Easter
outfits. I kept our family's Easter
traditions and did these activities
for two my boys.

The church I attend now puts emphasis
on the cross and the Lamb of God. I do
not avoid Easter symbols like colored

eggs, butterflies, rabbits, and lilies as
long as the Biblical meaning they portray
is addressed.

Today, I am sharing some scriptures
about the Cross and the Lamb of God. They are  the main reasons why I have
a Passion for Jesus Christ!

LIFE LESSON:

GOD PROVIDED THE LAMB, HIS SON!

GENESIS 22:8

And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.

JOHN 1:29, 36

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

36 And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

LIFE LESSON:

THE LAMB AND THE THRONE ROOM

 DEPICTION OF THRONE IN HEAVEN

REVELATION 7:17

For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

REVELATION 21:22

But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

REVELATION 22:3

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

LIFE LESSON:

JESUS DID NOT COME DOWN OFF THE CROSS

MATTHEW 27:32,40, 42

32 Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross.

40 And saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

42 He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.

MARK 15:21,32

21 Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear His cross.

32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we
may see and believe.” Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him.

LUKE 23:26

Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus.

JOHN 19:17,19

17 And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,

19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

LIFE LESSON:

THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS NOT
FOOLISH!

1 CORINTHIANS 1:18

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

GALATIANS 6:14

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

PHILIPPIANS 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
