THE ANOINTED ONES!

The term anointed in the Bible can 
mean to be "set apart". There are
several scriptures exclaiming that 
a person was God's anointed.I also
discovered during my Bible study 
that ordinary people, prophet, 
and kings can be anointed by God. 
They obeyed God and received many blessings.Anointed kings who followed God's instructions were great warriors.


Here are some of the scriptures I studied on being anointed:

1 SAMUEL  2:10

The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces;From heaven He will thunder against them. The Lord will 
judge the ends of the earth. “He will 
give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”

1 SAMUEL  12:3 & 5

3 Here I am. Witness against me before the Lord and before His anointed:

5 Then he said to them, “The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed 
is witness this day,


1 SAMUEL  16:6

So it was, when they came, that he 
looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”



2 SAMUEL  22:51

“He is the tower of salvation to His 
king, And shows mercy to His anointed,
To David and his descendants forevermore.”

2 KINGS  9:6

Then he arose and went into the house. And he poured the oil on his head,
and said to him, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I have anointed you
king over the people of the Lord, over Israel.

PSALM 18:50

Great deliverance He gives to His king, 
And shows mercy to His anointed,
To David and his descendants forevermore.


PSALM 20:6

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from
His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.


ISAIAH 45:1

“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not 
be shut:


ISAIAH 61:1

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has
anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent
Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;


LUKE 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor; He 
has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, 
To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.

JOHN  9:6 & 11

6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes
of the blind man with the clay.

11 He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and
I received sight.”


1 JOHN  2:20 & 27

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.


27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you,
and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing
teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just
as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
