RACHEL, THE SHEPHERDESS


 Genesis 29:6, 9


6 So he said to them, “Is he well?”
And they said,  “He is well.  And
look, his daughter Rachel is coming
with the sheep.”

9 Now while he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.

Exodus 2:16-17, 21

16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew 
water, and they filled the troughs to
water their father’s flock.
17 Then the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

21 Then Moses was content to live 
with the man, and he gave Zipporah
his daughter to Moses.

DEPICTION OF ADAM & EVE WITH THEIR CHILDREN I say thank you to PBS for featuring TV shows  on researching your family tree by Heny Louis Gates, Jr.  The show was called, "Finding Your Roots". I enjoyed this show and and eventually became very good at family tree research. Genealogy was important during Bible days and the Bible book of Genesis gives us several family trees.
