LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 6/2/14

I hear sermons on Sunday and listen to gospel music every day. Bible study has been the most instrumental activity that has  increased my faith.  I believe words in Hebrews 13 which says that :

 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and 
forever.

I recently studied the Miracles that Jesus performed.  Some people believe that miracles no longer happen today.  I hear about miracles everyday on the radio and T.V.  I read about them daily on the web.  The problem is, that the people receiving the miracle do
not always confess that they received, "His Divine Intervention".  

 This week I want to share some scriptures which tell about the Miracles of Jesus.
LIFE LESSON: 

THE FISHERMEN WHO CAUGHT NOTHING

LUKE  5: 4-7. 9-11

4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.  
7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them.And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 


9 For he and all who were with him were astonished
at the catch of fish which they had taken;
10 and so also were James and John, the sons 
of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon.And 
Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now
on you will catch men.” 
11 So when they had brought their boats to land,
they forsook all and followed Him.

DEPICTION OF ADAM & EVE WITH THEIR CHILDREN I say thank you to PBS for featuring TV shows  on researching your family tree by Heny Louis Gates, Jr.  The show was called, "Finding Your Roots". I enjoyed this show and and eventually became very good at family tree research. Genealogy was important during Bible days and the Bible book of Genesis gives us several family trees.
