I’ve heard several sermons
about Peter. They mostly focused on his
shortcomings. He denied Jesus before the cock crowed. He took
his eyes off Jesus when he was walking on water. He didn’t want Jesus
to wash his feet. Peter was human and
he made mistakes. He was like most of
us sinners who have fall short of the glory
of God.

I discovered during my Bible
study that Peter did love Jesus. He urged sinners
to be baptized and He healed the sick.

scriptures about Peter’s prayer life.

LUKE 9:18,
28. 32-33
18 And it
happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him,
and He asked them, saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”

came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter,
John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
32 But Peter and those with him were
heavy with sleep; and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the
two men who stood with Him.
33 Then
it happened, as they were
parting from Him, that Peter said to
Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said.

16 “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus;
17 for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.”

15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour
of the day.
16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,That I will pour out of
My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
My Spirit on all flesh;
