HEAVENLY SWEET AROMA! #2

I discovered other interesting things
about this sweet aroma during my
Bible Study.  There were men in the
Bible who understood the importance making offerings to the Lord.

Their offerings were so pleasing to
the Lord that sweet smells filled the
air. Here are some scriptures that show when and why they gave an offerings to Him:

MEN WHO UNDERSTOOD THE SACRIFICE

JESUS

EPHESIANS 5: 1-2

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

GENESIS 8:20-21

20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

PHILIPPIANS  4:18

Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

2 CORINTHIANS 2:14-17

14 Now thanks be to God, which always cause us to triumph in Christ, and make manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15 For we are to God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life to life.
And who is sufficient for these things?
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
