VISIT THE POWER HOUSE!
I think of strong men when I use
the word power. I have a vision
of a weightlifter bench pressing
200 pounds! I recall a group of
Christian men called "The Power
Team" visiting our church years
ago. Most of the children in the
Youth Church really enjoyed the
stories and weight lifting show.
There is someone more powerful
than any man, it's God. This week
I'll share scriptures which discuss
His power and the many ways He
used it to save His people.
LIFE LESSON:
DISPLAY OF GOD'S POWER
GENESIS: 1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form, and
void; and darkness was on the face
of the deep. And the Spirit of God
was hovering over the face of the waters.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light Day, and
the darkness He called Night. So
the evening and the morning were
the first day.
7 Thus God made the firmament,
and divided the waters which
were under the firmament from
the waters which were above
the firmament; and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and
the morning were the second day.
11 Then God said, “Let the earth
bring forth grass, the herb that
yields seed, and the fruit tree
that yields fruit according to its
kind, whose seed is in itself, on
the earth”; and it was so.
13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.
17 God set them in the firmament
of the heavens to give light on the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it
was good.
19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind.
23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
30 Also, to every beast of the
earth,to every bird of the air,
and to everything that creeps
on the earth, in which there is
life, I have given every green
herb for food”; and it was so.
31 Then God saw everything
that He had made, and indeed
it was very good. So the evening
and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis 2 :1-3
1 Thus the heavens and the earth,
and all the host of them, were finished.
2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He
rested from all His work which God
had created and made.
