VISIT THE POWER HOUSE! #4

I think of strong men when I use the word power.  I have a vision of a weightlifter bench pressing 200 pounds!

There is someone more powerful  than any man, it's God. This week  I'll share scriptures which discuss   His power and the many ways He   used it to save His people.


LIFE LESSON:

THE POWER OF GOD IS INFINITE!

MATTHEW 22:29
 
Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures
nor the power of God.
 
MARK:9:1
And He said to them, “Assuredly, I say
to you that there are some standing 
here who will not taste death till they
see the kingdom of God present with power.”
 
MARK 12:24
 
Jesus answered and said to them, “Are you not therefore mistaken, because you 
do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?
 
LUKE 1:35
And the angel answered and said 
to her, “The Holy Spirit will come
upon you, and the power of the 
Highest will overshadow you; 
therefore, also, that Holy One 
who is to be born will be called
the Son of God.
 
LUKE 22:69

Hereafter the Son of Man will sit 
on the right hand of the power of 
God.



 
LIFE LESSON:
 
THE DISCIPLES DIDN'T TAKE CREDIT
FOR THE PEOPLE'S HEALING.THE
GLORY BELONGED TO THE LORD 
JESUS CHRIST.
 
ACTS 3:12
 
So when Peter saw it, he responded 
to the people:Men of Israel, why do
you marvel at this? Or why look so 
intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this
man walk?

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions.
