This week I'll continue to  study the roles that God assigned angels in the Bible.  There are numerous scriptures that show angels assisting God's people 
in all types of circumstances.  

This study is not meant to be a complete study 
of angels.  My knowledge of angels was limited  
and I wanted to learn  more about them.  I am  sharing scriptures  that gave me insight to the 
role of God's angels. 
Today, I'll share scriptures which show that  the
angels were assigned roles during the Crucifixion
of Jesus.

LIFE LESSON:

 ANGELS HAD ROLES TO DO DURING JESUS'
CRUCIFIXION

  
MATTHEW 28:2-5

2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 
 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.  
4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women,  “Do not be afraid,  
for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.



LUKE 22: 42-43



42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.  


LUKE  24:20-23

20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him.  
21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel.  Indeed, besides all this, today is 
the third day since these things happened. 
22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us.  
23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive.

JOHN  20:10-15

10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.  
12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at
the head and the other at the feet, where the body
of Jesus had lain.
 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord,  and I do not know where 
they have laid Him.”

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions. CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 5

Today, I'll share scriptures which show how  a prostitute named  Rahab was used to help  Joshua's spies. Joshua, son of Nun, became  the ruler for the Israelites after Moses died. The Bible also tells us that the Lord is "not a respecter of persons"and accepts all who will respect him. It can be His will to use a harlot (prostitute)
