LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 6/12/14

LIFE LESSON:

 JEWS HAVE KEPT THE LAW OF THE TASSELS FROM TIME OF MOSES UP TO NOW.

I learned from the Bible book of Number 15 that all generations of the Israelites were to wear tassels on the four corners of their garments. Numbers further states that:



...a tzitzit ( tassel) for you to look at and thereby remember all
of ADONAI's mitzvot ( God's commandments) and obey them...


 I have seen several documentaries and news 
stories on TV and online showing Jews in the 
Holy Land wearing tallits and prayer shawls.  
They all have the tassels on the four corners
of these garments. I did not know until now
that the white  tassels had very significant 
meaning.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will.
