LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 6/24/14

This week I'll continue to  study the roles that God assigned angels in the Bible. There are numerous scriptures that show angels assisting God's people  in all types of circumstances.  

This study is not meant to be a complete study  of angels. My knowledge of angels was limited  and I wanted to learn more about them.  I am  sharing scriptures that gave me insight to the  role of God's angels. 

Today I'll share scriptures which show you 
the relationship between angels and creation.


LIFE LESSON:


 Angels were made during the creation of
the heavens and earth.

GENESIS 2:1

Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them ( ANGELS), were finished.


NEHEMIAH 9:6

You alone are the Lord;
You have made heaven,
The heaven of heavens, with all their host (ANGELS),
The earth and everything on it,
The seas and all that is in them,
And You preserve them all.
The host of heaven worships You.

EPHESIANS 3:9 

and to make all see what is the fellowship of 
the mystery, which from the beginning of the 
ages has been hidden in God who created all
things through Jesus Christ;


LIFE LESSON:

Angels report to God

Job 2:1
Again there was a day when the sons of God  (ANGELS)came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.


Job 1:6


Now there was a day when the sons of God (ANGELS) came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions. Today, I'll share scriptures which show how  a prostitute named  Rahab was used to help  Joshua's spies. Joshua, son of Nun, became  the ruler for the Israelites after Moses died. The Bible also tells us that the Lord is "not a respecter of persons"and accepts all who will respect him. It can be His will to use a harlot (prostitute)
