LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 5/5/14

I heard a sermon on Sunday discussing
how we should be a blessing to others.
The Lord blesses us so, we should bless 
others.The Bible even tells the rich how
to bless others.  

 It is easy to become self-centered when
you are jobless due to your company lay
off.  I know a person with Lupus and she
is in pain daily.Ongoing financial problems
and experiencing constant  physical pain 

may cause a person to only dwell on their
own needs.

 During Bible times, the scriptures mentions
two classes of people.The rich with abundant
and cattle. The poor who worked the land and
had limited resources.  

 The message the Lord gave them was, care 
for and love one another regardless of your circumstances.

This week I'll share scriptures which I am 
studying to help me  learn to be a blessing 
to others.

 Today's Scriptures:

 EPHESIANS  4:28

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
1 TIMOTHY  6:17-18



INSTRUCTIONS TO THE RICH


17 Command those who are rich in this present
age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain 
riches but in the living God, who gives us richly
all things to enjoy. 

18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good 
works, ready to give, willing to share.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions.
