LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 5/15/14

I am still learning how to be have faith, be patient
and wait on the Lord. I must wait for His answer 
to my prayers and for financial blessings that are forthcoming according to His time line.


This week I will feature scriptures that have helped
me have faith and patience.


TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:


LESSON: WAITING STRENGTHENS YOUR HEART
 

PSALM 27:14


Wait on the Lord;Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!


LESSON: WAIT; FORGET GET RICH SCHEMES!!
 

PSALM 37:7-8

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do
not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes 
to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;  Do not 
fret—it only causes harm.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions.
