SAYING GOOD-BYE TO RAJA!
MEMORIAL TO RAJA
Raja was the beloved family pet. She was a shepherd mixed pooch. She was born on Christmas eve in 1997.
Raja bought joy to our family because she
was playful, mischievous and had a healthy appetite. My son called her Miss Greedy. She was very smart and had remarkable vocabulary. I had to remind her that she wasn't smarter than me. She smacked you with her paw when she needed to go potty. There were three tricks she had to do before she received a treat:
Give high five, lay down, and speak
She would do the tricks without asking if she saw her favorite dog treat.
She helped me get up after I slipped and fell on the snow one winter. Her and my husband were best buddies. He sneaked her in our bedroom when I went on long shopping trips. He did not like to discipline her. She grieved terribly when he passed 6 years ago.
She was pretty healthy most of her life. She had a couple run-ins with loose neighborhood dogs. The vet patched up her up minor scrapes and bruises. She didn't show signs of declining health until October. The vet said she had breast cancer and she passed away on November 6, 2017.
Our family misses her a lot. She was a part of our lives for 20 years. Talking about
our fond memories of her has soothed our
grief.
