WHAT ABOUT THOSE HYPOCRITES! #3

During my Bible study I discovered that Jesus chastised hypocrites. Today’s I’m sharing scriptures which explain the consequences of being a hypocrite.

 

LIFE LESSON: 


PITFALLS OF BEING A HYPOCRITE:


JOB 8:13


So are the paths of all who forget God; 
And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish.


JOB 15:34


For the company of hypocrites will be barren, And fire will consume the tents 
of bribery.


JOB 34:30


That the hypocrite should not reign,
Lest the people be ensnared.

 
PSALM 5:6

You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.


PSALM 26:4


I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, 
Nor will I go in with hypocrites.

  
PSALM 55:23


But You, O God, shall bring them down 
to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty
and deceitful men shall not live out
half their days; But I will trust in You.



PROVERBS 11:9


The hypocrite with his mouth destroys
his neighbor, But through knowledge 
the righteous will be delivered.


ISAIAH 33:14


The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: “Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”

 
DANIEL 8:25


“Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means.



MATTHEW 24:49-51 


49 And begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 
50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of.
51 And will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

LUKE 13:15


The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you 
on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey 
from the stall, and lead it away to water 
it?

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions.
