HOLY WEEK #6
This
week I have shared scriptures
about the Crucifixion
and Resurrection
of Jesus Christ. These
precious scriptures strengthened my faith tremendously.
I
hope they do the same for you!
LIFE
LESSON:
TOMB
SEALED TO PREVENT JESUS FROM ESCAPING!
MATTHEW 27:64
Therefore
command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples
come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has
risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the
first.”
LIFE LESSON:
MARY AND
MARY MAGDALENE DISCOVER JESUS HAS RISEN!
MATTHEW 28:5-6,9-10
5 But the angel answered and said to
the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
6 He is not here; for He is risen, as
He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

LIFE LESSON:
CHIEF PRIESTS WANT TO DENY CHRIST
HAS RISEN!
MATTHEW 28:12-14
12 When they had assembled with the elders and consulted
together…
13 saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and
stole Him away while we slept.’
14 And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will
appease him and make you secure.”

LIFE LESSON:
DISCIPLES DISCOVER THAT JESUS
HAS RISEN!
JOHN 20:19
19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

LIFE LESSON:
DON’T BE A DOUBTING THOMAS
JOHN 20:24-29
24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of
the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” GOOGLE IMAGES |
1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-8
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also
received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day
according to the Scriptures,
5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at
once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen
asleep.
7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the
apostles.
8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out
of due time.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:20
But now Christ is
risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of
those who have fallen asleep.
