LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 11/19/13

LUKE 1:37 

 For with God nothing will be impossible.

 

MATTHEW 19:26

 But Jesus looked at them and said to 
them, “With men this is impossible, 
but with God all things are possible.”


My faith increased as I grew older. When I 
looked at nature and the universe, I realized
that man had nothing to do with it.  Man has 
too many faults and it is impossible for him 
to be the creator of the universe and all that
dwells in it. My daily goal is to do the best 
that I can in all my endeavors.  I’m satisfied,
even if the outcome is not perfect. Sometime
the actions of other people can affect the 
outcome, regardless of my best effort.


I worked for a boss once. who prided himself 
on being  a perfectionist. I know that it was 
impossible for me to know everything about
every subject. His obsession with being perfect
just made him annoying and untrustworthy. 
His constant drive to do everything perfect, just 
made him appear insecure.

with a perfectionist test. You can take the test 
online and they will interpret your score.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions. Today, I'll share scriptures which show how  a prostitute named  Rahab was used to help  Joshua's spies. Joshua, son of Nun, became  the ruler for the Israelites after Moses died. The Bible also tells us that the Lord is "not a respecter of persons"and accepts all who will respect him. It can be His will to use a harlot (prostitute)
