I want to continue to share scriptures that helped    me stay in the Christian Army. The 3 voices that  have caused people conflict since Bible days are:  The Voice of God, Your Voice and Flesh, and The Voice of Satan. 
This week I will discuss the voice of satan. Today,  I'll share scriptures that discuss why listening to
satan is wrong and how to resist him. He is full 
of lies and tricks. The Lord does not want us to 
be ignorant his trickery. He wants us  to use His 
wisdom which is available with prayer and study of His Word. 



NOTE:  SOME NAMES USED FOR SATAN IN BIBLE:

serpent, satan, devil, the enemy, the great dragon,
murderer, your adversary, principalities, rulers of
the darkness, a liar, and hosts of wickedness

LIFE LESSON:

JESUS RECOGNIZES SATAN TALKING 
THROUGH PETER!! 




MATTHEW 16:21-23

 


21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

 

LUKE  22:31-33 ( SIMON & PETER SAME PERSON)


31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
33 But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”




LIFE LESSON:

 PERSONALITY OF SATAN


 

John 8:44 



You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.




EPHESIANS  2: 2



2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons disobedience,  





EPHESIANS  6:12   

               
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.


  

1 PETER  5:8 


 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom
he may devour. 








 
LIFE LESSON:


STAY ALERT AND CLOSE TO GOD SO THAT  SATAN WILL FLEE

EPHESIANS 1, 3



1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 

3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.


 1 THESSALONIANS  2:17-19


17 But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire
18 Therefore we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but Satan hindered us.  
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

 



JAMES 4: 7-8


7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.



1 PETER  5:8

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions.
