R U LISTENING 2 THE WRONG VOICE, PART 3
The sermon I heard Sunday was very interesting.
The members were asked, "Have you have ever
been in a bad situation? Did you think that you
should run away? " You are very torn about what
you should do. The pastor stated that the good
won and the bad situation ended. The members
giggled and laughed. Could it be that they were
recalling some of their experiences? I know that
I was thinking of some. I sure got into some big
messes in my life until I learned how to listen to
the right voice. Temptation was always present!
I wanted to live a Godly life. I needed to put on
God's armor daily in order to fight the battles of
this world!
This week I want to share scriptures that helped
me be in the Christian Army. The Bible discusses
three voices that cause conflict to people. These
are: The Voice of God, Your Voice/Flesh, and The
Voice of Satan.
Today, I'll share scriptures on warning you not to
give in to satan's voice. I found out that he is full
of lies and tricks. The Lord does not want you to
be ignorant about this. He wants you to use His wisdom which is available with prayer and study
of His Word. There were people in the Bible who
listened to satan and had dire consequences.
LIFE LESSON:
EVE WAS TRICKED BY SATAN
WHEN SHE LISTENED TO HIS
VOICE. EVE ALSO LISTENED TO
HER FLESH WHEN SHE OFFERED
THE FRUIT TO ADAM.ADAM WAS
AWARE OF GOD'S RULE, BUT HE
CHOSE LISTENED TO HIS FLESH
WHEN HE ATE THE FRUIT.
GENESIS 3:1-4
1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;
3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
ADAM AND EVE SUFFERED BECAUSE THEY LISTENED TO SATAN
GENESIS 3:11-13, 22-24
11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
13 And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
22 Then the Lord
God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and
evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the
tree of life, and eat, and live forever”-
23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
tree of life, and eat, and live forever”-

LIFE LESSON:
CAIN KILLED HIS BROTHER ABEL. HE
WAS NOT LISTENING TO GOD'S VOICE
GENESIS 4:6-8
6 So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”
8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother;and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
1 JOHN 3:12
12 not as Cain who was of the wicked oneand murdered his brother. And why did he
murder him? Because his works were evil
and his brother’s righteous.
LIFE LESSON:
DEVIL EVEN THOUGHT HE COULD TRICK JESUS!
LUKE 4:1-4, 11-12
1 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the
Spirit into the wilderness,
2 being tempted for forty days by the devil.
And in those days He ate nothing, and after
ward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
3And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son
of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written,
‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word of God.’”
12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
