LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY, 1/8/14

EPHESIANS 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith,
and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God,

LUKE 17:6

So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled
up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and
it would obey you.

HISTORICAL CONTEXT

Noah is an example of a man in the Bible who had
true faith. Genesis 6 tells us he followed the Lord’s instructions for building the ark. He built the ark in spite of lack of rain and ridicule from the people.

LIFE LESSON FOR TODAY

I receive a catalog in the mail monthly and it
sells items for crafts. I saw an egg craft kit
called Colors of Faith. You build an egg from
Colored Strips of felt with words on it. The
words tell you what each color represents.

Red means faith in the Blood of Jesus.
Orange is for faith in God’s promises.
Yellow is for God’s perfect light.
Green is for new life in God.
Blue is for our baptism that identifies
us with God.
White is for cleansing g sins and forgiveness.
Black is for our sins.
Purple is for God is King and crown of life.

My faith in God is very important and I exercis
it every day.
