I love to watch documentary films.
One night I watched a film about the
life of Eunuchs in India.  They had been castrated and lived together in their own community.  This film was interesting and informative.



I was doing my nightly Bible study when 
I saw the word, eunuch in the Bible. I was amazed to discover they are mentioned more than 30 times in the Bible.


This week I’ll share some scriptures which describe the Life of the Eunuch during Bible days.

LIFE LESSON:



BORN A EUNUCH



2 KINGS 20:18





And they shall take away some of your sons who will descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.



ISAIAH 39:7



And they shall take away some of your sons who will descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.



MATTHEW 19:12



For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”









LIFE LESSON:


SERVANTS IN THE PALACE


ESTHER 1:9-11

9 Queen Vashti also made a feast for the women in the royal palace which belonged to King Ahasuerus.

10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus.

11 To bring Queen Vashti before the king,
wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold.

     
ESTHER 2:3


And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather all the beautiful young virgins to Shushan the citadel, into the women’s quarters, under the custody of Hegai the king’s eunuch, custodian of the women. And let beauty preparations be given them.



DANIEL 1:6-7, 9-12, 14-15, 18


6 Now from among those of the sons of Judah were Daniel,Hananiah, Mishael, 
and Azariah.
7 To them the chief of the eunuchs gave names: he gave Daniel the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach;
to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abed-Nego.

 9 Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.
10 And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and drink.
For why should he see your faces looking worse than the young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the king.”
11 So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
12 “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

14 So he ( chief of the eunuchs) consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days.
15 And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies.

18 Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

DEPICTION OF JONAH RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LORD I was doing Bible study one night and it became clear to me that, Noah, Moses, Jonah, Deborah, Jael, Lydia, Seller of Purple, Rehab, The Twelve Disciples, and Paul were all CALLED by God. The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will. Today, I will share scriptures which discuss that the Lord CALLED a man named Jonah.  He did not want to answer the Lord's call and ran away.  There were consequences to Jonah's actions. Today, I'll share scriptures which show how  a prostitute named  Rahab was used to help  Joshua's spies. Joshua, son of Nun, became  the ruler for the Israelites after Moses died. The Bible also tells us that the Lord is "not a respecter of persons"and accepts all who will respect him. It can be His will to use a harlot (prostitute)
