PERISHED PEOPLE #2

I try to use good judgement daily.
I may use bad judgement if I rely 
on myself for all decision making.
So, I pray for God's guidance daily.
 
I discovered that some people in the 
Bible used bad judgement too. Today
I'll share scriptures about people who perished (suffer destruction) because 
they used bad judgement.



LIFE LESSON:



WORSHIPERS OF OTHER GODS


DEUTERONOMY 8:19-20

19 Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the Lord destroys before you, so you shall perish, Because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God.


DEUTERONOMY 11:16-18 

16 “Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,
17 lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.
18 “Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

DISOBEDIENT PEOPLE


DEUTERONOMY 8:20


As the nations which the Lord destroys before you, so you shall perish, Because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God.

 
JOB 8:13

So are the paths of all who forget God; 
And the hope of the hypocrite shall 
perish.

 
JOB 36:12

But if they do not obey, They shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge.



PSALM 119:92

Unless Your law had been my delight, 
I would then have perished in my affliction.

Isaiah 60:12

For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, And those nations shall be utterly ruined.


LUKE 13:3

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.


1 CORINTHIANS 15:17-19 

17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 
18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

perish but have everlasting life.

FOOLISH PEOPLE


PSALM 49:10

For he sees wise men die;
Likewise the fool and the
senseless person perish,
And leave their wealth to 
others.

ACTS 5:37

…For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

ACTS 8:18-21 

 

18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ ( PETER & JOHN) hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
19 saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! 
 21 You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

The Lord may require  some people to carry out a special task.There will be others that may be required to minister His Word and  travel around the world as a missionary.      This week I'll share scriptures about different men  and women that were called by the Lord. Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will.
