HEAVENLY SWEET AROMA

I never knew that offerings and 
prayers could bring about sweet
smells and aromas. Dr Richard E.
Eby discussed this in his book,
“Didn’t You Read My Book?” The
altar smoke from burnt offerings 
became sweet aromas. This was 
a very interesting concept to me. 
So, I looked up the scriptures he
listed as documentation of this
precept.  



My Bible study revealed that there
are several times when the offerings 
and sacrifices caused supernatural 
sweet smells to fill the air.

OFFERINGS BY FIRE BECOME SWEET AROMAS!



GENESIS 8:20-21



20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.



EXODUS 29:18, 25, & 41

18 And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord.

25 You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the Lord. It is an offering made by fire to the Lord.
 
41 And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord.

LEVITICUS 1:13

But he shall wash the entrails and the legs with water. Then the priest shall bring it all and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.

NUMBERS 15:13-14

13 All who are native-born shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.
14 And if a stranger dwells with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would present an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do.


EZEKIEL 20:41

I will accept you as a sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles.

CALLED BY THE LORD, PART 6

Some of these people were rebellious and did not want to answer His call.  All eventually did the Lord's will.
